banana walnut pancakes (plant-based)
Slow Saturday mornings have become really important to me — sipping my coffee while reading, attending a (virtual) morning yoga class, going to the gym or doing an at-home workout, and then making pancakes and a green juice or smoothie.
So, I’ve been experimenting with some pancake recipes that are both healthy(ish) and delicious!
6 things I’m doing to cleanse my life for spring
Spring is a time of change, cleansing, shedding our winter layers and letting go of anything that doesn't serve us. It's a time to really look at what would make us feel lighter, and how we can bring more of that into our life. To invite this in, we can make loving and intentional changes to our routines, foods we're eating, the exercise we're doing, and the self-care activities we choose to include in our days.
Here are 6 things I’m doing to invite in the season, by doing a little life spring cleaning.
winter berry smoothie (plant-based)
In this recipe we use a mix of greens and berries to give a range of nutrients, we use frozen ingredients because fresh berries and bananas likely aren’t available where you are in winter months, and include the warming properties of cinnamon to help give our bodies the support they’re craving.
Plus, adding the healthy fats and protein powder, while optional, will help to fill us up and provide our bodies with additional warmth.
simple winter oatmeal recipe (vegan & gluten-free)
I love a warm bowl of oatmeal pretty much any time of year, but the winter especially has me craving it! This oatmeal is warm and nourishing, super filling, and full of all the nutrients you need as someone who is mostly plant-based or transitioning to that lifestyle.
It’s vegan, gluten-free, super simple, and also versatile - so there’s no excuse for not trying it!
6 questions to ask yourself when you’re stressed
Stress has its place, but we’ve become so accustomed to these feelings that it’s sometimes challenging to even recognize them. Check-in with yourself: your body, mind, and soul, to notice where you might be feeling a little stress, tension, or resistance. Here’s a simple list of questions you can begin to ask yourself in every day life when you’re feeling stressed or simply “off.”
I hope these guide you to find ways you can make subtle shifts that will relieve some of this stress and help you to simply feel better and more at ease, wherever you are.
simple warm cinnamon apple recipe (and other apple snack ideas)
Apples are such a staple in my Fall and Winter meal prep. They’re affordable, delicious, and oh so versatile. Here are a few of my favourite ways to enjoy them: sliced and dipped in almond butter or warmed with coconut oil and cinnamon. Here’s the recipe! It’s vegan and plant-based, gluten free, cheap, and healthy.
checklist for intentionally approaching a new year (9 ways)
Each day should be an opportunity to reset (aka you don’t need to wait for a new week/month/ year to make a change in your life if something is calling to you). BUT, I also recognize the promise of the “blank slate” that is a new year.
And so I’d like to encourage you to create some space and time to really prep for the new year, so that you can approach it with mindfulness.
Here’s a checklist you can use to intentionally approach a new year:
12 (random) things I'm loving this winter season (cozy + comfortable)
As the cooler weather sets in my goals and intentions are pretty simple: begin winding down my client work to prepare for the holidays, give myself the time and space to relax, and live free from a schedule, slow down and rejuvenate, begin setting intentions and goals for the new year, be cozy as much as possible.
So, with those intentions in mind I’ve curated a list of 12 (random) things I’m loving this season.
managing your time (and overwhelm) as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
Hey you. Yes, you. You with the notebook filled to the brim with ideas and inspiration, the 15 hobbies and passion projects you know you could make into a business if you wanted to, and the to do list that literally never ends. There’s a name for us - and no it’s not just crazy. 🤪We’re multi-passionate.
But even if that’s the case, at times having so much on the go can be overwhelming, and it’s important to have strategies in place to ensure you don’t get burnt out.
